KLX-300 Spring Rates

The KLX handles pretty well right out of the box, but most riders find the front and rear springs unbalanced. Anybody over 140 pounds, for example, will probably find the stock fork springs (0.38 kg/mm) too soft, and anybody under 180 pounds or so will probably find the stock rear spring (5.8 kg/mm) too stiff. So most KLXers replace the stock springs with ones more suited to their weight and riding style. The table below lists the spring rates calculated by RaceTech.com for the KLX-300, but not the ones actually available for sale at the Race Tech site. Select the spring rate closest to the calculated value for your weight and event. And remember that the most accurate way to determine the correct spring is to perform Sag Adjustments...
